Geosynthetics Products

TVASTAR facilitates the client with family of various geosynthetic products,

Geotextiles

A popular choice for drainage, filtration, reinforcement, and stabilization is the Geotextile Fabric. Constructed from a felt-like fabric, these geotextiles are light in weight and able to both filter and reinforce construction areas. TVASTAR provides its clients with wide variety of Geotextile which are broadly classified into two types:

  • Woven Geotextile
  • Nonwoven Geotextile

GEOGRID

Geogrids form a distinct category of geosynthetics designed for reinforcement. These products are characterized by a relatively high tensile strength and a uniformly distributed array of large apertures (openings between the longitudinal and transverse elements). The apertures allow soil particles on either side of the installed sheet to come into direct contact, thereby increasing the interaction between the geogrid, aggregate and some soils.

TVASTAR supports and assists the client in understanding the problem and suggesting the right type and right grade of Geogrid based on the application and design strength.

GEOCELLS

Geocells are three-dimensional, expandable panels made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). When expanded during installation, they resemble a honeycomb and form the walls into which specified infill materials are placed and compacted. Typical infill materials are aggregates, local onsite materials, vegetated topsoil, and concrete.

Geocomposite Drains

Geocomposite drains combine the best features of different materials in such a way that specific applications are addressed in the optimal manner and at minimum cost. Thus, the benefit/cost ratio is maximized. Geocomposite drains combine Geotextile, Geomembrane and Geonets as per the requirement and the application of the product.

For example, When a geotextile is used on one or both sides of a geonet, the separation and filtration functions are always satisfied, but the drainage function is vastly improved

EROSION CONTROL MATS

Erosion control blankets provide a cost-effective and straightforward solution. By covering areas of open land with these mats, we can help prevent soil movement and promote the growth of vegetation. Based on the project requirement and the application required there are different kinds of mats that TVASTAR provides, namely:

  • 1. Polymeric Mats
  • 2. Turf reinforcement Mat
  • 3. Coir Mat

Geomembrane

Tvastar can provide Geomembrane and Liners in a variety of physical, mechanical, and chemical resistant properties designed to meet the requirements of a wide range of applications (i.e., Products can be compounded for exposure to ultraviolet light, ozone, and microorganisms in soil). Different combinations of these properties exist in various geosynthetic lining materials to cover a wide spectrum of geotechnical applications and designs.

GEOTEXTILE BAGS AND TUBES

Geotextile tube is a sand/dredged material filled geotextile tube made of permeable but soil-tight geotextile. The desired diameter and length are project specific and only limited by installation possibilities and site conditions.

Geotextile bags of various sizes constructed from woven or nonwoven geotextile material of various specifications that are filled with material such as sand. They are used to easily transport fill material in hard-to-reach construction areas.

PVD- Prefabricated Vertical Drains

Vertical Drains, also known as Wick Drains or Band Drains, are used to accelerate the consolidation of embankments built of fine grain soils. This is normally to expedite construction and limit long term settlement.

Vertical drains consist of a flat or cylindrical plastic core wrapped in a geotechnical fabric, and allow water to drain up through the centre of the drain. These come in a variety of sizes and shapes to meet a variety of soil and site conditions.

Vertical drains can be used to increase the rate of consolidation, delivering substantial programme savings for the build times of earth embankments for many types of land raising schemes
